Job Description:
Writers/Content Developers (Freelance)

The Company

MindShare Strategies is a small but dynamic full-service marketing and association management firm that provides strategic planning, membership management, marketing, sales, and event management services to its clients. The company specializes in the transportation, logistics and supply chain industries.

About the Freelance Position

Looking to apply your writing, research, and storytelling skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment? Do you thrive when adapting to different voices and turning complex ideas into clear, compelling content? If you're resourceful, creative, and skilled at researching topics and interviewing subject matter experts, then become part of our Freelance Writer Team at MindShare! Responsibilities include:

  • Researching and writing original content across various formats - ranging from feature articles for magazines, e-newsletters and blogs to website content and social media posts.
  • Applying your understanding and expertise in the transportation, logistics and supply chain market to your content, and ultimately translating sometimes complex information into clear, engaging, audience-friendly content.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders to understand content needs, goals, and deadlines.
  • Editing and revising content based upon feedback to ensure accuracy, clarity and consistency.
  • Adhering to MindShare's style guidelines and editorial standards, as well as our clients' brand voice.
  • Professionally conducting interviews with subject matter experts when needed.
  • Proactively pitching content ideas that align with client goals.

Qualifications

Minimum of Bachelor’s degree and five years’ experience in writing, marketing, communications, and/or content development - preferably in the transportation, logistics and supply chain industry. Assignments will be offered to the freelance writer team member who is best aligned with the subject matter of assignments. Freelancers are hired for their skills, expertise and judgement. This is a freelance, independent contractor opportunity - NOT a full-time or part-time employment role - and the selected content developer will not be engaged as an employee nor will receive benefits in any form. Compensation is per project, based upon assignment scope and complexity.
